Under the banner of the Society of Theriogenology, one-day training was conducted, which was entitled “Hands-on Trainings on Ultrasonography in Dairy Cattle.” It was organized by Dr. Zia ur Rehman at the college of Veterinary Sciences, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, The University of Agriculture Peshawar. The training was participated by graduating students and all those passionate veterinary doctors who were involved in the pregnancy diagnosis at various dairy farms.
In the aftermath of the training, certificates were distributed by Dean, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences among the successful candidates. The principal, College of Veterinary Sciences, Professor Dr. Umar Sadique also graced the prize/ certificates occasion. Besides, Professor Dr. Murad Ali Khan, Dr. Shakoor Ahmad, Dr. Zahir Shah, Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, Dr. Farhan Anwar Khan, Dr. Arshad Zahoor, also participated in the ceremony. The organizing team included Sohail, Nazif, Ph.D scholar (Theriogenology), Arif Shah final year DVM, and others.
Dr. Tariq Aziz (Ultrasound consultant), a resource person, demonstrated practical skills in ultrasonography to participants at the university Dairy farm, and explained the application of modern diagnostic techniques. The participants took part in the practical of pregnancy diagnosis at different stages of pregnancy. We are thankful to UM enterprises for their support and encouragement.
